There are not much details found over this stage of pump industry evolution. So we have to move on next stage of this chain and i.e. in 1866 when there are three milestones i.e. Lederle Founded, Sigma Lutin Founded; Stork Pumpen founded and Scanpump founded. Here we discuss about Scan Pump

1860
JMW, the oldest of all companies which will later be a part of Scanpump, is founded.

1918
AB Pumpindustri, which is the very start of the company Scanpump, is founded by the trading company Ekman & Co. AB Maskinfabriken Gta is founded, later on Vadstena Pumpar AB.
The 60s
1959, ABS Pumpen is founded in Scheiderhhe, Germany. Just over seven years later, in 1966, Pumpindustri was acquired by Wilh. Sonesson AB, Malm, Sweden (later named Sonesson Pumpindustri AB). By this, the business programme is broadened with Gothia Piston pumps and pumps from SIHI, Germany.
The 80s
In 1979 the business changes name to Scanpump AB. The name Scanpump was launched as early as 1967 by this time a well known brand name that was used when selling the equipment on to export markets.
In 1982, JMW is acquired. JMW Jnkpings Mekaniska Werkstad is manufacturing large pumps for the pulp & paper industry, for wastewater treatment plants and for marine use. In 1985 Vadstena Pumpar is acquired. Vadstena Pumpar is manufacturing pumps for the Building & Service market. The year after, another company, Pumpex, is acquired. Pumpex is manufacturing and selling submersible pumps in their own brand name. The factory lies in Nordmaling and the sales office in Stockholm.
In 1989 Scanpump acquired ABS, Scheiderhhe, Germany. The company is manufacturing submersible wastewater pumps, submersible mixers for water and waste and the pulp & paper industry. By this acquisition the company is now number five on the list of large pump companies in Europe.
The year after Lefi, Rosny-sous-Bois, France, with manufacturing process pumps mainly for the chemical industry, is acquired
The 90s
In the year 1990 the companys name is ABS-Scanpump AB. Three years later it splits into 3 units; Cardo Pump AB (Parent Company), ABS Pump Production AB (Product Center) and ABS Pump AB (Sales Company). The name Scanpump is no longer used as company or brand name.
In 1995 Cardo Pump acquires 100 percent of the shares in SCABA AB, Sweden. SCABA manufacturers non-submersible agitators for municipal wastewater treatment, and the pulp & paper industry.

The same year a new sales company called ABS Pumps International AB is founded. The companys mission is to strengthen the export sales on that part of the market where ABS does not have own sales offices. During the 90s there are also several new sales companies established in Europe, North and South America and in the Far East, e.g. in Estonia, Turkey, Hungary and Greece.
In 1997 the business-scope for submersible aerators of the company Frings, in Germany and USA, is taken over.
The 00s
Swedmeter AB, experts in control & monitoring, and the Finnish company Nopon Oy aeration solution providers and suppliers of submersible aerator mixers, disc diffuser systems and high speed turbocompressors for oxygenation in biological wastewater treatment applications are acquired in 2001.
2005
In 2004 and 2005 Cardo Pump, now ABS Group, undergoes major changes; In January 2005 the new company ABS Scanpump sees again the day of light as a subsidiary to ABS Group, focusing on solutions for the pulp & paper market. ABS Scanpump forms a new, border-less key account organisation and re-introduces the well-established brand Scanpump. ABS in their part highlights wastewater technology as their core business.
In 2005 a new factory purposed for products within the pulp & paper segment, situated in Vadstena, Sweden, is opening.
2006
In January 2006 ABS Scanpump becomes its own entity and is now sister company to ABS. ABS Scanpump forms, together Lorentzen & Wettre, the division Pulp & Paper Solutions within the mother company Cardo. Lorentzen & Wettre, a sister company since many years, is the leading manufacturer of equipment for quality control and process optimisation for the paper industry. ABS Scanpump and Lorentzen are however acting with separate organizations and brands.
In May the company changes the legal name from ABS Scanpump to Scanpump in order to reinforce the focus on the pulp & paper industry.
2010
July 1, 2010, Scanpump AB changes the legal name to
Cardo Flow Solutions Sweden AB, which is part of Cardo AB. Further the change also means that Scanpump AB and ABS Sverige AB merge to form the new Cardo Flow Solutions Sweden AB. The brand names Scanpump and ABS remain as earlier.
2011
July 29, Sulzer acquires Cardo Flow Solutions including its brands (ABS, Scanpump and other well-known product names).
2011
September 12, Cardo Flow Solutions Sweden AB changes legal name to Sulzer Pump Solutions Sweden AB.
